Nicknames are essential in WWE. Almost every WWE Superstar has one or two, and sometimes even more. They contribute to creating the stars’ in-ring personas and become something that identifies each character.

The Deadman in WWE means one thing only, The Undertaker. The same goes with Shawn Michaels and his nickname The Heartbreak Kid, for example. However, just like they have wrestling nicknames, many WWE Superstars have other real-life ones among their colleagues and families.

To her family, Alexa Bliss is not The Goddess, but just “Lexi.” Natalya, too, is just “Nattie” to her family and friends. Nonetheless, other superstars were not as fortunate.

Here are five WWE Superstars who have funny nicknames in real life.

#5 WWE SmackDown’s Seth Rollins - The Drama King

Before he became The Architect, The Monday Night Messiah, or SmackDown’s Savior, WWE Superstar Seth Rollins had a funny nickname at home. To his mother, Holly Franklin, Rollins was just The Drama King.

She told the story of how the former WWE Champion earned his nickname at home on her son’s episode of My Son is a WWE Superstar.

Franklin gave an example from Rollins’ childhood:

Rollins explained the reason behind that incident in the same episode.

The WWE Superstar’s mother stated that she learned something from that.

From being The Drama King at home, Rollins became The Kingslayer in WWE. He is now a two-time WWE Champion, two-time Universal Champion, two-time Intercontinental Champion, and a former United States Champion. He is also a six-time WWE Tag Team Champion.

The SmackDown Savior will face Cesaro on the first night of WrestleMania 37 on April 10.

#4 WWE SmackDown’s Mandy Rose - Hamburgers

Mandy Rose’s nicknames in WWE are God’s Greatest Creation and The Golden Goddess. However, to her brothers, she is just Hamburgers.

Rose is the youngest in her family. She has three older brothers, who were the ones behind her unusual nickname Hamburgers, as she revealed on her episode of My Daughter is a WWE Superstar.

The WWE Superstar told the whole story behind her nickname Hamburgers in an interview with Sports Illustrated.

A six-year-old Rose had one hamburger with her family then asked for a second. It was a surprise for her mother while her brothers were curious to know how many hamburgers their sister could eat.

Mandy Rose is now part of a tag team alongside Dana Brooke on Monday Night RAW. They are chasing the Women’s Tag Team titles leading into WrestleMania 37.

#3 Former WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar - Vanilla Gorilla

Brock Lesnar is a guaranteed future WWE Hall of Famer. His looks and in-ring dominance have earned him nicknames like The Beast, The Beast Incarnate, The Conqueror, and several others.

Despite this, The Undertaker had another nickname for the 43-year-old former WWE Superstar during their time in the company. The Deadman revealed on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast that he used to call the man who broke his WrestleMania streak Vanilla Gorilla.

Brock Lesnar is a former five-time WWE Champion and three-time Universal Champion. His WWE contract expired in the summer of 2020.

Lesnar’s last WWE match came at WrestleMania 36 when he lost the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre. Although many people thought he might return at WrestleMania 37, it does not seem that it will happen.

#2 WWE Legend The Undertaker - Wendy

The Undertaker is one of the scariest characters in WWE history. He had several nicknames throughout his career like The Deadman, The Phenom, and The American Badass. However, he also had one lesser-known nickname outside the WWE ring that was not scary at all.

The WWE legend revealed that his former manager Paul Bearer called him Wendy. He told the story behind his odd nickname when he appeared on “Busted Open Radio”.

The former WWE Superstar recalled getting his revenge on Bearer.

The Deadman announced his retirement from WWE last year. His last match came against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36.

#1 WWE Legend The Rock - Dewey

Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, is another WWE Superstar who has had many nicknames in WWE. He is The Great One, The Brahma Bull, and The People’s Champion. To his family, however, he was Dewey.

The Rock laughed when he told the story behind that nickname during a Television Critics Association Zoom panel for the “Young Rock” TV series.

The former eight-time WWE Champion revealed that people did not react well to his unsung nickname.

The Rock has not competed in a WWE ring since WrestleMania 32 when he defeated Erick Rowan in an impromptu squash match.
