While speaking with John Maakaron of Sports Illustrated, Braun Strowman revealed that he sat down with officials previously to discuss the possibility of joining Tony Khan’s company. The former WWE Superstar further added he doesn’t have as much time to continue being a full-time performer, regardless of which promotion he ends up signing with:

The promotion, to their credit, already boasts a few heavyweight behemoths similar to Strowman. Whether it’s his monstrous intensity or underrated athleticism, here are wrestlers who can become AEW’s version of The Monster Among Men.

#5. AEW prospect Satnam Singh

The company’s signing of former NBA talent Satnam Singh came as somewhat of a surprise. Singh is the first Indian basketballer to be drafted by the NBA and has no prior wrestling experience. But the towering Indian stands at 7'3" and boasts a natural charisma and agility. Upon his signing, owner Tony Khan said the following:

Strowman also didn’t come from a wrestling background. As a former strongman competitor, he also needed time and training to transition into the wrestling business. While Satnam is currently a diamond in the rough, his potential is there for everyone to see. The Indian prospect could be the attraction that Strowman was for WWE as long as he delivers in the ring. This is one to watch.

#4. AEW Tag Team Champion Luchasaurus

Current AEW Tag Team Champion Luchasaurus is a fan favorite. Standing at 6'5", he is powerful but can move with the speed of a cruiserweight.

His gimmick may hold him back, especially if he wants to be taken seriously as a main event performer, but like Strowman, there is the potential for Luchasaurus to become a singles star if he’s given a chance to strike out on his own. An inevitable heel turn against his tag partner would immediately give him immense heat. With his masked persona, he can also look to Kane for inspiration on how to craft a menacing character that has a mystique.

#3. Pinnacle member Wardlow

Wardlow is slowly coming into his own as a performer. When he is allowed to tear it up in the ring, Wardlow looks and carries himself like a megastar.

In terms of physique, he is very much similar to Braun Strowman. He also got his start by being part of a faction in The Pinnacle, like how Strowman was part of the Wyatt Family. Wardlow has the raw tools to be a star in the business. He is being pushed strongly right now and looks to go into a feud with MJF. 2022 might be the year Wardlow explodes into the AEW main event.

#2. Former AEW TNT champion Miro

AEW has allowed Miro to realize his true potential as a top star. When he was part of the WWE as Rusev, he felt like a stereotypical foreign heel. But he has showcased his true personality as the Redeemer gimmick. He’s both menacing and entertaining.

Strowman also felt like a true superstar when he was allowed to cut promos and show off his naturally intimidating presence. If Miro can continue his current momentum, it won’t be long before he becomes a world champion too.

#1. The Murderhawk Monster Lance Archer

Lance Archer just returned to Dynamite this past week and immediately put himself in world championship contention against ‘Hangman’ Adam Page. He’s a veteran at this point and has wrestled for WWE, TNA, NJPW, NWA, NOAH, and numerous other promotions.

He has consistently been dominant in the ring, and it’s only a matter of time for him to win a title in the Tony Khan-led promotion. Standing at 6'8" tall, the monstrous Texan is surprisingly agile for his size. His characteristics resemble Strowman in many ways.
